This post is a little late, but I guess its always best late than never, fact! So last month, I headed down to Sloane Square in London to visit the "Little Black Jacket" exhibition at the Saatchi Gallery.

Mango A/W 2012/2013 Trends Catwalk
Recently, Mango in Regents Street hosted its very own trends catwalk for its employees. To which I had the pleasure to attend. Luckily I managed to grab myself the opportunity of being the photographer for the night which was a truly amazing experience even though I don't consider myself an excellent photographer.
The overall aim of the catwalk was to train its employees about the autumn/winter 2012/2013 trends within the store this season. It was a successful event which was both beneficial and enjoyable at the same time.
All of the clothes shown in the photos are all Mango so if you like something make sure to head to your nearest Mango near you or simply shop online, how easy is that?!
So finally here are some of my favourite photos of the event. I hope you enjoy them and let me know what you think!
Yours Truly,
Mickey Boots

I Miss You Barcelona
Autumn has arrived, university has started and all the wonderful memories of one of my favourite European cities have all come back.
I truly miss Barcelona, the beautiful cultural city that literally took my breath away for 6 months of my life. It was probably the best experience yet, living there where i met incredible people and experienced a completely different lifestyle to the one I had before and have now.
It surely has opened up my mind to many future opportunities.

New In: Michael Kors Watch
So I let you know about my night out at Vogue Fashion's night out in London but I never mentioned if I bought anything.
So here it is the beautiful Michael Kors watch that I couldn't resist that evening and just had to buy it. To be honest I had wanted one for quite a while now but never got round to actually buying it so with a little help from the champagne that evening it was a done deal.
The only upsetting point about buying the watch was that I saw it on ASOS for £199 which was a little cheaper than what I actually paid for the watch, but let's face it, its all about the shopping experience, does anyone agree with me ?

Fashion's Night Out London 2012
One of my favourite nights of the year: Vogue Fashion's Night Out!
Finally this year, I managed to get the night off work which was great so I planned with two of my girlfriends to head to Bond Street in London for the event.
Not only was it an amazing experience but us girls managed to get ourselves a little tipsy, just a little. But what I loved the most was the shopping experience whilst socialising and drinking champagne, definitely a must for next year again. It was also a great night to network, meet important people in the fashion world and gain inspiration for future projects and ideas.
The only downside was my feet at the end of the night were absolutely killing me, I guess it was a bad idea to wear stiletto heels to the event, next year I will wear comfortable heels for sure!
For all you fashion lovers out there wherever you may be you should definitely try and attend this fashion night that is hosted every year in September! The night is hosted in many cities across the world so don't miss out ladies and gentlemen (it applies to you both!).

Gaudi Moments
One of my favourite days out in Barcelona was definitely when some of my best friends were over from England and we all went to visit both Parc Guell and La Sagrada Familia all in one day.

Picnic in the Park
Me and some of the girls here in Barcelona decided it would be a great idea to organize a picnic between us in which we all bought something along that we made at home.
It was a beautiful hot day in Barcelona, so we decided to head to Parc de la ciutadella, which might I add is absolutely beautiful and definitely worth seeing if you happen to come to Barcelona.

Madrid day 1
Here in Spain, the 1st of May is a national holiday therefore my university decided to give students an extra long weekend in order to celebrate the holiday. So instead of spending it in Barcelona, me and two other friends decided that we should go for the weekend in Madrid, in order to explore the capital, which might I add I have never had the chance to do properly before. So we bought ourselves some bus tickets and booked some accommodation and headed off to Madrid on Friday! It was so cheap, I definitely recommend it to anyone who had the opportunity to visit the city but I must admit that I find Barcelona much more beautiful in terms of architecture, but this weekend the weather was a little bit of a let down so probably didn't make my trip as amazing as it should have been but still was great.
The first day was spent exploring the shopping districts, some parks and some important architectural sites.
I hope you enjoy the pictures guys.. By the way my outfit was a little plain, however I felt I needed to wear something a little casual and comfortable since I was going to be doing a lot of walking, I hope you like it!

A walk to remember
One of the things that I love about Barcelona, is the fact that going for a walk around the city is truly pleasant and enjoyable. It is such a beautiful city that I guarantee that anyone can fall in love with, especially walking around near the port and Barceloneta beach.
I decided to wear one of my favourite lace dresses of the season, and since it wasn't that hot decided to match the outfit with a pair of boots just to make the outfit a little more casual yet fashionable. I hope you like it!!

Me Encanta Barcelona
Its been two months that I am living in Barcelona and to be honest I am having the time of my life! Each day literally living life to the fullest as if I were to die the next day. The only problem is I am spending way too much money but like some people say, who cares you only live once ?! Right?
The people out here are amazing, I have made some great friendships that are literally forever. I start to think about the day that I will have to say goodbye to all these amazing people and it makes me so sad.. But I will try not thinking about this.
Okay so most of you want to know about what I do, well its pretty simple.. Party, Sleep, occasionally go to class, sunbathe (Im gradually getting a tan! Woohoo) and Party some more. For those of you who have me as a friend on facebook, you will probably notice in all my pictures :)
I am in love... with Barcelona <3

21 At Last!
Better late than never, like my mother always says...
Its been almost a month since I turned 21, however havent been able to share with you my experience.
Turning 21 was pretty much like turning 20 or 19 but of course now I can go to America and gamble and drink but overall not much difference.. Apart from now I actually consider myself to be an adult.. Yay for me!!
I celebrated my 21st birthday with all my beautiful London friends by going out to a bar in west London.. It was truly an unforgettable night and thank you so much for those beautiful friends that managed to come along, which might I add was much more than expected!! Which is great!!
I didn't manage to take a proper photo of my outfit for the night because it was such a rush but as you can see from the photo above I wore a little red number, which is now one of my favourite dresses in my waredrobe, simple yet so elegant!! Bought it off ASOS in case any of you are wondering..
Then the actual day of my birthday I spent with family.. A relaxing day but I loved it also.. Above is a picture of my birthday cake that my mum bought from a Portuguese Bakery in London, it was so good!!
And the final picture for this post, me and my two beautiful parents!! I love them so much and miss them a lot especially now that I am living in Barcelona.
Overall I had an amazing birthday, I got everything I asked for, well all most everything and spent it with the people I care about the most, that's the most important of course.
Keep tuned in for more posts guys,
Yours truly,
Mickey Boots

Reading List
Reading is very essential for entering the fashion industry. It is so beneficial being able to know the most you can about designers, styles, trends and general culture.
It is such an amazing feeling when your having a conversation and have the ability to express the knowlegde you carry about the fashion world. Well for me, I love reading about fashion, its not just about catching up on our favourite editions of fashion publications but yes about exploring further into biographies, websites and factual fashion books. Below is my current pile of books that I am currently reading. Check them out, and I recommend all of them, seriously!

To Porto and back
Dear Readers,
I sincerely apologize for the lateness of this post but you can't even come to imagine how busy I have been with work and university assignments that are due in.
I got back from Portugal on Friday evening, it was a nice relaxing 2 days back home. I saw friends, past lovers and enjoy the Portuguese air, truly relaxing. However the 2 days went so fast which was disappointing but however is better than not going at all I guess.
I didn't manage to take many photos since on the first 2 days the whether wasn't so good. However here are some of the photos that I did take, just for you to take a glimpse of where I come from.
Enjoy,
Yours truly,
Mickey Boots

Off to Portugal
The time has finally come for my return to my beautiful country which I love dearly; Portugal.
I have everything packed and am ready for take off! My outfits are planned out, accessories and make up ready and cameras and phones charged; couldn't be more organised! Let's not forget the moment important of all, the passport; which might I add is already in the handbag also.
I'm only going for 2 days, but I guess that is better than nothing of course. I am flying out on TAP Portugal and coming back to London with Ryanair. I promise that I will take a lot of photos so when I come back I can post them on here and let you know about my short trip back home.
My sunnies are packed, let's hope there's some sunshine and book prepared for the flight. Oh and of course my seductive red lipstick, can't forget that one. (YSL)
My beautiful pumps are ready for walking, a lot of it! Taking them along with me because they are so comfortable.
Also taking my small camera for those nights out with friends. Of course I will take my Canon SLR to capture the better moments.
Unfortunately this time I won't be taking my laptop therefore I wont be posting abroad but I promise as soon as I'm back I'll post all those amazing moments spent in the beautiful city of Porto and my home town also, so keep reading guys and I shall see you Friday evening.
Yours truly,

Bank Holiday Shopping
As you have probably noticed by now, I'm a bit of a shopaholic, well it's true I'm addicted! Today I managed to get myself up early and head to Bicester Village; an outlet village in England. I had actually never been before today and I believed it was a nice experience. I went with my best friend Becca and her mum and sister. It was a lovely morning of shopping and I managed to get myself some bargains.
Bicester Village is such a cute little place, please go and visit if you ever get the chance! For those of you in London, you can just get the train from London Marylebone and it only takes 45 minutes.
Originally I wanted to get myself a Prada purse from the discount village but unfortunately
the one I wanted wasn't there, oh well I guess there's always next time.
Below are the photos of my purchases, enjoy!
I only bought some goodies from Cath Kidston and Polo Ralph Lauren because I didn't find anything else that caught my eye. The lovely weekend bag above from Cath Kidston caught my eye straight away, I loved it and its perfect for weekends away.
More goodies from Cath Kidston: a luggage tag and a case for my Sony camera. These were bought in order to prepare myself for the big move to Barcelona on the 4th February! Literally can't wait!
Last but not least this lovely Ralph Lauren sweater which is so comfortable and warm. A must for this season.
Cath Kidston weekend bag - £40
Cath Kidston luggage tag - £3.50
Cath Kidston camera case - £5
Polo Ralph Lauren sweater - £39.99
Well that's today's post, keep tuned in for more posts this week. Might as well mention that I am off to Portugal on Wednesday for 2 days! So excited!
Yours truly,
Mickey Boots

English Rose
The last day of 2011 was spent in good company and in a great location; Windsor. A city full of English heritage and of course beautiful. Yesterday I decided to go for a stroll and maybe a little bit of shopping also with a special friend, well my best friend; Becca. I just love Windsor!! Its so relaxing to go for a stroll alongside the river and then later do some shopping in the high street and might as well while Im there visit Windsor Castel. So much to do in such a small town. I must admit it was a good ending to 2011.
Today's outfit was a mix of casual plus chic; a comfortable yet trendy combination with some essential accessories.
Chelsea boots: a must have for winter! If you dont have a pair, go shopping immediately. Mine were only £36 from Topshop and for those of you that hold a valid student card then you get a further 10% discount, so worth it!
Accessories always manage to make any outfit stand out that little bit further. I love rings, I consider them to be my favourite type of accessory.
My beautiful best friend Becca to whom I thank the amazing company to.
Why not stop for a hot chocolate and cupcake in style?
And finally but not least the historical Windsor Castle. In fact a lovely day, let's hope 2012 brings me and all you beautiful people of the world even more amazing days. But remember to make sure you spend them in style!
Yours truly,
Mickey Boots
