Casual Sunday

Sundays are almost always meant to be spent with family or friends just relaxing in preparation for yet another week of hard work. To be completely honest, I usually spend my sundays either with friends or catching up on the latest book and television series which I am currently watching/reading. This week I managed to do a bit of everything all in one day, which meant I was rushing about everywhere. So of course, a comfortable outfit is in order. Once I woke up I felt I needed to wear something neutral with an edge, so I went for an all black look with a pinch of colour hence the kimono.

High-waisted jeans, a simple crop top, floral kimono and my favourite biker boots of the season (Topshop ones of course!). The crop top and biker boots definitely added an edge to the outfit. Plus have you noticed my new hair? Yes, that's right I cut it all off! I wanted to change my look and I've never really had short hair before so I gathered my strength and did what most people would never do and I love it! What do you think? Comments are welcome :)

This bag is the latest bargain which i found, I found it in the Warehouse sale for a mere £25 which I think is a pretty awesome price for a handbag and its definitely in trend this season! I think that my favourite colour this season is most definitely blood red, it always reminds me of autumn.

Those Leopard Print Shorts

The hot weather has finally hit London! With the heatwave, I decided to head to Regents Park to have a picnic with friends followed by some essential tanning time. I wanted to wear something comfortable yet chic. These leopard print silk shorts from Zara had been hanging in my closet for a while so I sought the opportunity to finally put them to use. Matching them with a simple cami and some monochrome heels, made the perfect picnic outfit for a hot summer's day in the city.

Comfortable yet classy, what do you guys think?

Summer Wedges

Ever since I could walk in heels, which since I can remember or by the cute photographs that my mother has kept away in her bedside table, my favourite type of heels have been wedges. I don't know what it is but I've always been attracted to them, comfort is definitely a driven attraction to them followed by style, they always look good with any outfit - fact! Basically they are all so amazing. Currently in my wardrobe, I must have around 20 pairs of wedges and it seems like every month there are a new pair which I want to get my hands on. This month, I have bought two pairs already and these are one of them. I had been eyeing them up for a while but was unsure because of how high they were, but since they went into the sale, I knew straight away that I had to get my hands on a pair and I haven't regretted my decision since. What do y'all think of these beauties?

Those Floral Pants

On my last day in Cardiff, me and Molly headed down to Cardiff Bay (one of my favourite places in Cardiff) for a nice lunch in the sun. Finally the sun was out and the weather had picked up, so it was warm enough for me to leave the house without a jacket! Actually a rare happening in the UK.

I bought these amazing floral print trousers from Zara a month ago, but never actually got round to wearing them because of the weather here in the UK. I really love floral prints, so when I saw them I knew straight away that I was going to buy them and Zara never dissapoints in terms of fashion. I paired them with some orange heels (since orange is THE colour of the season) and a simple chiffon cami. The floral pants definitely do all the work here and did I mention, they are super comfortable? A must buy for the summer season!

I adore this Michael Kors body-across bag! And it matches my Michael Kors watch! Perfect!

Let's not give the floral pants all the credit here, the orange heels are most definitely pretty cool (i love the colour and the style of the heel). No surprise that they were another amazing Zara purchase!

We met up with one of our other friends for lunch, Cerys and decided to head to Las Iguanas, which is a really nice Latin American restaurant. The food there was truly amazing but I got to mention that the cocktails are to die for! Probably is one of my favourite restaurants in Cardiff.

I decided to go for a simple dish - the Churrasco Fiasco which is skewered Chicken, marinated and grilled in a honey-comb peri-peri sause, it was amazing!! For more information on the restaurant, visit their website: http://www.iguanas.co.uk

Cheers!

Japanese Chic

So, after weeks of waiting, I have finally received my university results and I can proudly say that I shall be graduating from London Metropolitan University with a 2:1 honours degree in Fashion Marketing. In order to celebrate this amazing news, I headed down to Cardiff to reunite with my best friend Molly, who has recently returned from her 3 month volunteering experience in Ghana.

On my first day in Cardiff, I decided to wear something a little brighter and sexier than usual. I recently bought this pretty Japanese-style floral print Kimono from the Zara sales, which I fell in love with straight away which I wanted to wear, what do you think? Cute - right?!

As you guys have probably noticed by now, Mom jeans are my favourite jeans of the season. I literally wear them all the time, one - they are super comfortable and two - I love the retro look that they reflect. Crop tops are also in, paired them together and what a wonderful match, ey?

Japanese-style prints have been a big trend for the past two seasons, I especially like the Japanese-style floral prints. This kimono reflects elegance and an element of chicness. It has now definitely become one of my favourite items within my wardrobe.

The summer sales have got to be the best sales throughout the year, even better than the january sales! I have honestly bought some really good garments this time around, especially from Zara, to which is probably my favourite store - no surprise there! These black sandals with a wooden platform, I had been eyeing up for the past couple of months, but had never actually got round to buying and amazingly went into the sale and half price! So of course, I did what any woman would do - buy them without thinking twice! Love, love, love them so much! Like mentioned before I also bought the kimono in the sales as well, got to say Zara this time have an amazing selection of discounted garments in the sale, if you haven't visited the store as of yet, do so asap! The statement necklace (below) was also bought in the sale however from Mango, such a cute necklace! What do y'all think of my recent purchases?

The easter break went so quickly, like always time flys by when your having fun - fact! So back to university life it is, and since its my last 2 months before I graduate its even more stressful. I literally feel like all I do is work and study, which means no social life for me - boo!!

Girl Gone Wild

One of my all time favourite prints is animal prints aka leopard print. I just love it, always have, always will! Any outfit with a leopard print garment always looks that extra bit more exciting! Plus it brings out the wild side in a person - fact! No matter what season it is, I always manage to find something with an animal print, especially during autumn/ winter.

The Last Days of Winter

You would think by March the weather would begin to get a little bit warmer but no! Welcome to English weather, and it has began to snow again, yes in March! Woke up to a windy day with the temperature below zero, it was absolutely freezing and once again, I felt I should of worn more layers.
Most of my day consisted of not stepping outside apart from leaving to get to university and to come back home and of course to take these photos. My facial expressions tells it all!

Mothers Day

I'm not sure for the rest of the world, but yesterday was Mothers Day here in England. Unfortunately because i had to work, I was only able to spend time with my mum towards the evening. In order to celebrate the special day, I took my momma out to dinner to American style restaurant called 'Frankie & Bennys". My brother has a really weird diet so we could only go to a restaurant which served Pizza on their menu which sucked big time since I really fancied sushi but oh well, theres always next time.

Too Cool For School

Monday is the day that most of us fear, for me especially, I hate mondays! A 7am wake up call, a 10am advertising lecture and a really long day ahead of university. Yep mondays are always the worst! I manage to always arrive home totally exhausted with no energy to do anything, so usually I end the evening re-watching some of my favourite movies (thats the fun bit to the day!).

English Rose

The last day of 2011 was spent in good company and in a great location; Windsor. A city full of English heritage and of course beautiful. Yesterday I decided to go for a stroll and maybe a little bit of shopping also with a special friend, well my best friend; Becca. I just love Windsor!! Its so relaxing to go for a stroll alongside the river and then later do some shopping in the high street and might as well while Im there visit Windsor Castel. So much to do in such a small town. I must admit it was a good ending to 2011.

Today's outfit was a mix of casual plus chic; a comfortable yet trendy combination with some essential accessories.

Chelsea boots: a must have for winter! If you dont have a pair, go shopping immediately. Mine were only £36 from Topshop and for those of you that hold a valid student card then you get a further 10% discount, so worth it!

Accessories always manage to make any outfit stand out that little bit further. I love rings, I consider them to be my favourite type of accessory.

My beautiful best friend Becca to whom I thank the amazing company to.

Why not stop for a hot chocolate and cupcake in style?

And finally but not least the historical Windsor Castle. In fact a lovely day, let's hope 2012 brings me and all you beautiful people of the world even more amazing days. But remember to make sure you spend them in style!

Mickey Boots

Winter Days

Some winter days can be ever so boring especially those in which you dont have any plans. Yesterday was dedicated to a day of watching movies and baking cakes, yes sounds boring but sometimes you just need a lazy day at home. However I did leave the house to go for a coffee in the town nearby.
I decided to wear something comfortable above all, plain but warm. This beautiful fur gilet which I received as a Christmas present was chosen. Faux fur has been a trend through-out the past year and a must have for some. I love it!

What to wear? Where to wear it?

New Years Eve is approaching very fast and I still haven't got a dress nor planned where exactly I am going to be spending it. Decisions, decisions, for sure I will be spending it in London but this year I think I don't want to be going to a club, its so predictable. I want to be able to do something different with amazing friends.  Which is hard because there is so much to choose from however I shall plan it better with the return of my best friend from Sweden. One thing I know for sure is that I will wear an unforgettable dress, however still haven't bought it as of yet but there is time. I already have 3 on my mind which are shown below.
When I think of new years eve outfits, I think extravagant, glamour and elegance. A fashionable lady must wear an unforgettable dress to be recognised in.
Below I have 3 choices, very affordable (not all of us can afford Oscar de la Renta, me included). Let me know what you guys think.

Electric Blue

Decided to add a little colour to my all-black outfit especially since it was looking a little dull. The blazer added an electric feel that made the outfit come to life. I bought this beautiful blazer from Mango the other day for £79.90. I just couldn't help myself, it was a must buy, had already been thinking about it for days! Yes, I do daydream about clothes, which probably is ridiculous but I can't control it!! But I'm sure 75% of women do it also but just can't admit it to themselves.

Once again I wore my knee high boots with this outfit, I just cant get enough of them. They always seem to make my outfits that little bit more fashionable. I recommend all ladies to have a pair, I have two! A flat pair and a pair of high-heeled knee high boots. They are a MUST for winter!

Added some jewellery also, both necklace and ring are crosses, I have an obsession with them lately, no I'm not religious like some of my work friends claim, I mean I am of course but the use of these items are purely for fashion reasons.
I always feel like I never have enough jewellery, I shouldn't really admit this but every time I go out and get drunk, I always lose a piece of jewellery or break it! Really need to stop doing that since buying new jewellery every week can become a little expensive especially if its the same piece as before.

Yours truly, Mickey boots
